W. Kevin Walker, P.E. provides special inspections for when local jurisdiction enforcing building codes require a “Special Inspection Certificate”. The Certificate is a document sealed by a Professional Engineer certifying that the required special inspection has been performed to the standards required of the soils report and/or the specific building code requirement(s). In the case of an “Earthworks Special Inspection Certificate”, the certification typically includes quality control compaction testing of native in-place soils and foundation earth fills placed beneath the foundation and/or as backfill behind earth retaining walls.
Any testing performed by other than W. K. Walker, P.E. is directed by him under his supervision by his approved field inspectors/technicians.
